Quickstep Too was bought by the Bubb family in February 2021 for their bluewater cruising plans. Nick Bubb is a vastly experienced former professional offshore racer (maxi-cat non-stop around the world, Volvo Ocean Race, Mini Transat etc), engineer and boatbuilder. The previous owner had a similar pedigree and was a top French multihull sailor (former Jules Verne holder) & boatbuilder. He refurbished the boat after buying it from a charter company and replaced the engines and rig, before cruising extensively in the north Atlantic with his family.

Six months in the UK were spent comprehensively overhauling all the systems and added full ‘off grid’ capability. Highlights from the refit include.

After her refit she was sailed from the UK across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and then on through the Panama Canal to the Galapagos Islands. She then made the crossing to the Marquesas Islands, on to the Tuamotus and is currently in Fiji. The owners hauled her out there for another mini refit, to ensure she was ready to sail back to the UK. Now with work calling in the UK and a change of family plans, Quickstep Too is on the market and will be sailed down to New Zealand in November to be sold.
